Game of Thrones Episode 6 SPOILERS – BEWARE – EPISODE SYNOPSIS HERE

Ok, I’ve watched it. HBO Spain made the massive blunder this week and accidentally aired episode 6 of Game of Thrones which isn’t due to air until this Sunday. I watched it, I cried, I shouted and I fell silent as it ended!

We’ll give a recap of the big plot points below. Please please don’t send me death threats 😉 as you have been warned. BELOW ARE SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 6 OF SEASON 7 OF GAME OF THRONES.

  • Sansa and Arya’s relationship turned sour. Arya confronted Sansa with the letter she found in Littlefingers room, Sansa claimed she was forced to write it, but Arya claimed she would die before betraying her family. When Sansa later found Arya’s bag of faces (seriously, a literal bag of faces), Arya made a veied threat about wondering what it’d be like to wear Sansa’s face – a very creepy scene.
  • We had two major deaths!
    • Thoros (Paul Kaye) died after being attacked beyond the wall by a White Bear!
    • The most heartbreaking was one of Dany’s children, Viserion.
      • Dany rode north of the wall to rescue John and the other who went to capture a walker. She took three dragons, and saved some of the group except John who was left standed, burning 1000s of the undead. But the night king shocked us all, throwing a giant ice spear into the air killing Viserion as Dany could only watch.
  • Benjen Stark returned to rescue a stranded John who was about to be swarmed by the undead. John returned South while Benjen was swarmed by the Walkers. Safely recovering, John and Daenerys shared a very tender moment.
  • However the final scene was terrifying and devastating all at the same time. We saw thousands of the undead pullling Viserion out of the icey lake he slipped into after being killed. Once upon the top of the ice, the night king approached, yep, you know what’s coming, touched Viserion’s nose and then it happened.. His eye opened, ice blue!
  • One final thought; all of the scenes north of the wall in this episode were some of the best in the shows history! I’ve never gone through such a range of reactions before, I laughed – loudly! I shouted, I cried, I sat in shocked silence and I cried a little again. A fantastic episode, somewhat spoiled by the leak. Yes I’m aware of the irony in saying this while posting a spoiler post, but when I knew it was out there I HAD to watch it, but the shocks and surprises are now spoiled for those waiting until it airs yet can’t go online for fear of having it spoiled if they don’t want to. For those who don’t mind spoilers, you’re welcome.
